The Crown
A mother crowned her daughter.Modeled in Maya and Zbrush. Clothing is from Marvelous designer and some additional sculpting in Zbrush. Everything is textured in Substance Painter. Custom alphas were made in zbrush for the patterns on the clothing and sofa. I used Texturing XYZ textures for the face and hands and some additional sculpting and painting by hand. hair was made with Xgen and the final image was rendered in Vray and composited in Photoshop.
A simple idea about a daughter being crowned by her mother set in a fantasy genre sparkled the creation of this personal piece.My goal was to create a 3D image that felt like a painting. Since these characters are from royal descent , everything had to look clean without any dirt or damages. I wanted contrast between mother and daughter through warm and cool colors. The color blue dominates the image because the daughter is being crowned, but i wanted the mother to have a strong presence as well .
