About

The interest in 3D & Digital Arts goes back to my teenage days. After taking my first steps with Truespace, I moved to 3DS Max 2.5 at the age of 15, still for fun back then.

I started taking seriously my hobby turning it into 4 years of education in Multimedia Design. I became a 3D and all-round multimedia instructor at Grafisch Lyceum Utrecht, which gave me the chance to participate in seminar and workshops in the field.

During school holidays i started working as a freelancer. Among the others, I remember as powerful experiences 2 feature films as lighting assistant and editing of some music videos (I worked in the production of some Racoon videos, a very fortunate coincidence given that I loved the band).
Next to that, I worked in the realization of some commercials and the 3D visualization for large events and television shows.

My next job was as a photographer, camera operator and editor at the National Aerospace Laboratory (NLR). It has been one of the most amazing experiences in my life which I have been able to leave behind just for the great opportunity of co-creating the startup that today is a worldwide reality: 3DWD.

Living next door to the beautiful national park The Biesbosch gives me the perfect surroundings to go running twice a week and since a year I've picked up rowing in a 5 persons St Ayles Skiff.
No matter the season, the BBQ is used as often as possible and the results are paired with a (hopefully) nice home-brew beer.
